MSE Supplies Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (YAG) LED Phosphor

Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (YAG) LED Phosphor is efficient and suitable for creating high correlated color temperature (CCT). YAG phosphor is very stable due to its unique crystal structure and its synthetic route is very straightforward. It can be effectively excited by a 450nm blue LED chip with an emission peak wavelength in the 530-560nm range. YAG phosphor exhibits yellow-light emission from the characteristic 5d and 4f energy levels. The energy levels of the 5d1 excited states and the emission photon energy of Ce3+ ion strongly depend on the host crystals via the crystal-field-induced energy level splitting of the 5d1 orbital. Combined with a blue InGaN LED, YAG phosphor has been successfully used in WLED.
