Method
Fifty female volunteers between the ages of 35 and 60 were treated with increasing peel concentrations (5-10% LHA or 20- 50% glycolic acid, GA).
Dermatologic evaluation of the face was performed before the peeling procedure and biweekly for 12 weeks.
In-vivo Testing of Effect on Lines and Wrinkles
From nine weeks on, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid significantly improved lines and wrinkles compared to baseline evaluations.
In-vivo Testing of Effect on Hyperpigmentation
From seven weeks on, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid significantly improved hyperpigmentation compared to baseline evaluations.
Overall, a 5-10% Capryloyl Salicylic Acid peel is as effective as a 20-50% Glycolic Acid peel for reducing fine lines and wrinkles and facial hyperpigmentation.
