Pseudoalteromonas is a genus of bacteria found in areas like the Antarctica or intertidal shores, capable of secreting extracellular polymeric substances (ECPS) of a highly varied composition and functionality. Among them, glycoproteins and exopolysaccharides are of especial relevance as they can act as already existing key elements of the skin, including hyaluronic acid (HA), that are essential to keep it firm, elastic and hydrated.
