Teccore
Applications:
Other Building Envelope & Roofing Applications
Introduced by Lantor in 2020, Teccore® is the latest addition to the Lantor foam core family. Teccore® is specifically developed for carbon fiber based microsandwiches where light weight and surface quality are the most important performance requirements. Teccore® is a thin textile foam core that reduces the amount of fiber layers and resin needed or provides in additional part stiffness. The black random dot foam structure presents you a unique opportunity to prevent resin shrinkage and fiber washing effects and optimizes the surface quality of your composite part. Teccore® can be used in Infusion, RTM, Compression Molding and prepreg processes, with or without autoclave.
Soric
Applications:
Other Building Envelope & Roofing Applications
Lantor Soric®; A unique flexible foam core for infusion and RTM processing Invented by Lantor in 2002, Soric® has always been the ideal core and flow medium in one. Soric® enables producers to make better, more consistent quality products, with less material use and less emissions. Soric® helps customers create lighter products by replacing unnecessary materials and eliminate part of the ancillaries because of the built-in flow capability. This is all the effect of a unique product structure, where microspheres are incorporated in a polyester based fleece with a pressure resistant binder in a typical form of islands and channels. This structure guarantees pressure resistance, flexibility, low weight and resin flow in one. Soric® is the best core for application in complex and relatively thin geometries.
Skincore
End Uses:
Fenders
Skincore® is a print blocker and osmosis barrier in one. It’s specifically developed to replace skin coats and barrier coats, shorten cycle time and VOC emissions. Skincore® consists of Finishmat® veil, chopped glass fibers and an engineered core, all stitched together to form a stretchable complex. The dry stack is applied directly behind a gelcoat with the veil to the mold side, followed by the rest of the structural laminate. Finishmat® prevents fiber print of the loose chop and protects the product against osmosis. The chopped glass layer is chosen for optimal impact resistance and processability. Finally, the complex contains an engineered core to prevent print through of the multiaxial layers, core grooving and butt joints behind it.
Coremat
Applications:
Other Building Envelope & Roofing Applications
Lantor Coremat®; The original laminatebulker, creating cost effective stiffnessInvented by Lantor in 1974, Coremat® has been the standard in the industry ever since. Coremat® is the original laminatebulker in open mold processes like hand lay up (HLU) and spray up (SU). For HLU and SU it is important that the product wets out quickly but also remains intact long enough to be processed. The product needs to be flexible to conform to the shape of the mold. Coremat® is made by incorporating microspheres in a polyester based fleece. Because of these microspheres, Coremat® creates a low weight volume and increases stiffness without the extensive use of costly materials.
