Applying
Before using HAZE REMOVER HV, the screen must be reclaimed and dried using a water vacuum or compressed air for best results.
Apply HAZE REMOVER HV onto both sides of the dried screen using a sponge, rag or a stainless steel coating trough. An aluminum coating trough can be used but it will be attacked by the HAZE REMOVER HV, so dedicate an old coating trough no longer used for coating emulsion.
Note: Do not pour used HAZE REMOVER HV back into the container as any contamination can cause the product to go bad.
Drying
Let the treated screen dry until the HAZE REMOVER HV crystallizes and turns a white color on the screen. The drying time depends on mesh thickness, temperature, and humidity. Force drying with fans or in drying ovens has shown good success, but test trials are recommended. Dry screens can be left for several hours or overnight. Many customers apply HAZE REMOVER HV at the end of the workday and let it dry overnight.
Reactivating
Thorough rinsing with water, followed by a high pressure rinse is sufficient for removal of diazo stains; however, for tougher stains and ink residue, rewet the screen with INK WASH, EXCEL INK WASH, OR ULTIMATE INK WASH.
Pour or spray any of the KIWO ink wash products onto the screen and brush from both sides to re-dissolve the HAZE REMOVER HV. Then rinse with water and follow with a high pressure washer to remove the dissolved and emulsified residue.
Note: Pressure washing straight away (without rinsing first) more effectively removes ghost haze images but should not be done without using a respirator in a well ventilated area.
KIWO INK WASH products have strong cleaning power and may attack the frame adhesive if the screen is soaked too long. Keep the soaking time as short as possible and if necessary, use a protective lacquer, such as ESTELAN B700-05 to protect the adhesive.

Safety & Health
- Personal Protection
Do not breathe fumes. All working areas should be well ventilated. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. It is recommended to wear protective glasses and gloves. Use respiratory protection if exposure limits are exceeded.
- Environmental Protection
HAZE REMOVER HV can be eliminated through biological decomposition in adapted wastewater treatment plants. The working solution (rinsed from the screen) can generally be emptied into the drains. Consult local authorities for local regulations.
