Kish Company Precipitated Calcium Carbonate are based on several different crystal structures. We provide a line of both wet and dry products for use in many applications. Precipitated Calcium Carbonate are high purity, low surface area, chalk-type pigments targeted for use in thermosets, thermoplastics, paint &amp; coatings, adhesives &amp; sealants, rubber and other applications requiring excellent rheology and softness.

Kish Company Precipitated Calcium Carbonate

Kish Company Barium Sulfate Precipitated Grade is a high brightness, low oil absorption, inert extender that is well suited for a variety of application including powder coatings, thermoplastics, elastomers, fiber, paper, ink and pigment preparations. Precipitated Barium Sulfate has a Mohs hardness of 3 and is very low in abrasion. It exhibits a continuous, high diffuse reflectance of light, not only in the visible range, but also far into the UV and IR ranges. It is the ideal extender of colored systems. In coatings, Precipitated Barium Sulfate is recommended in high gloss, acid-resistant formulations. Precipitated Barium Sulfate is inert, resistant to light and weathering, and insoluble in water, acids, alkali and organic media.

Kish Company Vertical Calcium Hydroxide is used in Petrochemicals, Calcium Salts (citrates, phosphates, stearates,..), Acid Neutralization, Chemical Reactions, Calcium Enrichment (food, pharmaceutical, neutraceutical).

Kish Company Titanium Dioxide is offered in Rutile and Anatase grades. Our KRT Rutile grades are available in with a number of inorganic and organic surface treatments. The KRT Titanium dioxides have excellent dispersion, hiding power, chalk resistance and heat resistance.

Kish Company Barium Sulfate Chemical Grade are designed for use in plastics, paints, coating, brake linings and other applications requiring acid resistant, high-density filler. Barium Sulfate Chemical Grade is a lower color Barite which gives the formulator the same qualities as the Pigment Series Barite’s but the option of using a lower cost Barite in darker color applications. The dry brightness of the this Series Barite’s is 80 – 82 minimum.

Kish Company Barium Sulfate Chemical Grade

Kish Company Calcium Sulfate Fillers are made from high purity, naturally occurring gypsum (CaSO4•2H2O). The dihydrate forms of gypsum have a fairly neutral pH and about 20% water of crystallization. Although exact temperatures will vary depending upon vapor pressure, relative humidity, etc., gypsum starts to lose its water of crystallization as it is heated above –50ºC (122ºF). As water is removed, both pH and specific gravity increase. When the hemihydrate form of calcium sulfate is heated to a temperature range of 150ºC to 180ºC, an unstable form of calcium sulfate soluble anhydrite is formed. This is a highly active material which will readily absorb moisture from the atmospheres. (We don’t supply the soluble anhydrite form of calcium sulfate). When calcium sulfate is calcined at temperatures above 400ºC an insoluble anhydrite is formed. It should be noted that this reaction is not reversible. Different calcinations techniques can affect product stability but all of our anhydrous fillers can be successfully used in polymer-based systems.
