- Product Uses
- NA-S UL 420 based emulsions are ideal for dip application of metal parts for rust and corrosion protection during indoor storage. Emulsions based on NA-SUL® 420 deposit thin, hydrophobic protective films ranging from dry to slightly oily depending on the concentration. This product provides excellent humidity protection with some salt fog resistance at higher concentrations. The protective films dry quickly, yet are removable with alkaline detergent. Emulsions based on NA-SUL® 420 effectively protect steel, galvanized steel and aluminum from corrosion. NA-SUL® 420 is successfully used to protect automotive parts as a key ingredient in a water-based cleaner/rust preventive fluid at a treat level of 2.0% to 3.0%. This fluid is applied by power spray washer systems to remove the metalworking fluid from newly machined parts.
- In addition to cleaning, the NA-SUL® 420 based fluid leaves a thin, dry film that protects the metal parts during indoor storage.
