- Advantages
- Hardness stabilizer and dispersant for water with a high sulfate and carbonate content in the pH range from 6.5 to 10.
- The product has been optimized especially for the prevention of calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate coatings.
- It unfolds its effect already in sub-stoichiometric dosage, i.e. in quantities that are not yet sufficient to complex the alkaline earth ions.
- Specifically attaches itself to the submicroscopic crystal nuclei present in supersaturated solutions and prevents or delays their further growth into larger regular crystals, which are responsible for the formation of the coating. are responsible.
- Do not use together with cationic products.
- Product Highlights
- Surface and well water are generally not suitable for direct feed into cooling systems because they contain dissolved salts and undissolved solid particles which, when heated, can impair the functioning of the equipment by fouling the surfaces.
- The use of our products for watertreatment prevent the formation of deposits throughout the system. For follow-up treatment of dry cleaning we recommend KEBOPEX.

- Applications
- KEBOPLEX 107 is used to prevent scale formation in industrial water systems and open cooling systems.
- KEBOPLEX 107 is a synergistic blend of modified polyacrylic and phosphonic acids not only showing stabilizing but also dispersing features. The product has been optimized particularly with regard to the prevention of formation of scales containing calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate. It is already effective at substoichiometric dosing (THRESHOLD effect) i.e. at quantities not yet being sufficient for the sequestration of alkaline earth ions.
- KEBOPLEX 107 shows good dispersing properties even at high contents of turbid matter in the water. The components of KEBOPLEX 107 specifically attach to the submicroscopic crystal germs present in the supersaturated solutions and stop resp. delay their further growing to larger regular crystals which cause the formation of scales. Because of its anionic character KEBOPLEX 107 should not be applied together with cationic products (e.g. quaternary ammonium compounds).
- Addition and Dosing
- KEBOPLEX 107 is added by means of a dosing unit at places of high turbulence, e.g. at the suction side of pumps to ensure a good distribution in the system. For tanks, pipings and pumps which come into contact with KEBOPLEX 107 plastic material should be used.
- The dosing is dependent on various factors such as:
- Thermal load
- Concentration factor
- Retention time
- Turbid matter content
- The product concentration should be at least 20 ppm in the circulation water. At high CaO contents there is a strong tendency of formation of calcium carbonate in the outlets of fermentation gas plants. This can be avoided by adding 5 - 10 ppm KEBOPLEX 107.
