Jodobet®

Natural betaine (important provitamin) concentrate derived from sugar beet molasses.

• Very efficient methyl group donor, can replace choline chloride.
• Osmoprotectant both at the level of the gut and at intracellular level: improves the utilization of water, feed, additives and other nutrients.
• Anti-stress factor, increases the resistance of the gut against various stress factors e.g. drought, heat and certains pathogens (Coccidiosis).
• Protects the liver from fattening and regulates the fat and energy metabolism: less fat deposition, more lean meat in fattening pigs and more breast meat in broilers.
• Source of glycine
• Spares methionine if shortage of methyl-donating capacity in the feed.

Betaine has in the sugar beet an osmoregulatory (= water pressure regulating) function. Thanks to betaine the sugar beet can store large amounts of sugar without bursting.

• Jodobet® in the feed (88% DM) of pigs and poultry.
• The recommended betaine dosage is between 200 – 2000 ppm, depending on the target group and the situation.
