Technical Details & Test Data
- The Solutions
Liceryl™-12 will increase the average diameter of SDS-micelles.
- Clinical Efficacy
Effects of Liceryl™-12 in reducing SDS-induced skin barrier function disruption and erythema
- Occlusive patches containing water, SDS, Liceryl™-12 or SDS/Liceryl™-12 combinations were applied on the skin of 15 subjects for 24 hours
- TEWL and skin erythema were measured 15 minutes, 4 hours and 24 hours upon patch removal
Reduction of TEWL
- The addition of LicerylTM-12 to SDS micelles prevents damages to the barrier function
Reduction of erythema
- The addition of Liceryl™-12 to SDS micelles reduces skin erythema
- Dynamic Light Scattering
- Formation of micelles with an average diameter superior to that of SDS
