Betolin® Q 40 stabilizes the silicate binders Betolin® K 28, Betolin® K 35, Betolin® K 42, Betolin® P 35 and Betolin® P 50 in silicate emulsion coating systems. Betolin® Q 40 is added in proportions of 0,5 – 1,0 % to formulations for paints and 0,2 – 0,5 % to formulations for plasters. A further improvement in stability is obtained through the inclusion of 0,5 – 1,0% of Betolin® A 11.
