- Biplex+® guarantees a quick and efficient disposal of condensation. (Water permeability tested accordingly EN 1928, result class W1).
- Biplex+® guarantees better ventilation under your roof through the efficient disposal of moisture and vapor. Because of the microscopic small perforations, Biplex+® guarantees good water permeability.
- Biplex+® is flame-retardant according to EN 13501-1, result class E.
- Biplex+®, the ‘insulating’ under-roof sheet that ‘breathes’. Through its double-sided structure, Biplex+® offers additional acoustic and thermal insulation.
- Biplex+® has ATG approval as under-roof sheet (certificate ATG 1926) and has the European CE label with CE EN 13859-1 approval.
Biplex+®, swiftly onto your roof!
- Can be cut easily on the roof instead of at ground level.
- Irregular forms can be covered seamlessly (e.g. dormer).
- Can be simply nailed or stapled.
- 1 person can manipulate and install the sheets.
- Installing takes up to 40% less time than conventional materials.
- Is available in sheets or rolls in order to minimize waste.

Properties
- Material Properties
Biplex® is made of a polypropylene – polyethylene copolymer. This raw material has numerous advantages and is therefore used in a wide range of applications. For certain applications the use of specific additives is needed. The most important are:
UV stabilizer: Biplex® is suitable for outdoor use, however the long term and continuous exposure to sunlight will degrade Biplex® at an accelerated pace. In order to slow down this process, a UV stabilizer additive is added. This stabilizer makes sure Biplex® can be used outside without any trouble.
Anti-static: Biplex® is a plastic sheet and has the characteristic of acquiring an electric charge caused by friction. This electric charge causes sheets to stick together and dust is attracted very easily. To avoid this electric charge, an anti-static additive can be added. With this additive, sheets become more easily manageable.
Flame retardant: Biplex® is a plastic sheet, hence flammable. Flame retardant additives can be added to make the sheets self-extinguishing: once the flame is taken away, the burning sheet will self extinguish.
Corona: Biplex® has a low surface tension which makes it hard to print or bond the sheets. The ink or glue will adhere very badly. By applying a corona treatment to the sheets, the surface tension is increased and the sheets become easily printable and well suited for bonding.
Gamma ray stabilizer: Sterilization can be done in 2 ways: steam sterilization with ethylene oxide or with gamma rays. Biplex® endures seamlessly multiple cycles of steam sterilization. When using gamma sterilization, however, an additive has to be added to prevent the material from becoming brittle.
