Instacoat

Instacoat™ Universal is a unique film coating system consisting of a dry blend of polymers, plasticizers, pigments, opacifiers and other excipients. Its uniqueness lies in its ability to be used with variety of solvent systems such as organic solvents, hydro-alcoholic systems and aqueous systems.

Instacoat™ Aqua is a general-purpose film coating system consisting of a dry blend of polymers, plasticizers, pigments, opacifier and other excipients. The system is optimized to give superior tablet finish using water as the solvent system.

Instacoat™ Aqua III is a complete film coating system consisting of a dry blend of HPMC, plasticizer, pigments, opacifiers and other excipients. The system with reconstitution level of 15%, is optimized to give superior tablet adhesion and finish using water as the solvent system.

Instacoat™ Sol is a unique film coating system consisting of a dry blend of polymers, plasticizers, pigments, opacifiers and other excipients, for organic solvent use. It is a user-friendly system which is simple and easy to prepare.

Instacoat™ 4G is a ready-mixed powder that can be rapidly reconstituted in water, for the film coating of solid oral dosage forms. It contains polymer, plasticizer, pigments, etc. in optimal ratios to achieve significant benefits in terms of processability and product quality. It is available in a wide range of shades to customer specifications.

Instacoat™ EHP 250 is a fully formulated high performance aqueous film coating system. It is a single polymer PVA based coating system having excellent water solubility, able to perform at high reconstitution levels up to 25% with excellent process performance in all types of conventional and side-vented coating equipment.

Instacoat™ Aqua II is a fully formulated, PVA-based high performance aqueous film. It renders enhanced efficiency, productivity and tablet appearance. It significantly reduces suspension preparation and coating process time.

Instacoat™ Flavor is a ready-mixed powder that can be rapidly reconstituted in the chosen solvent system for the film coating of solid oral dosage forms. It contains polymer, plasticizer, pigments, etc. in optimal ratios to achieve significant benefits in terms of processability and product quality. The polymer base can be chosen from any of the Instacoat systems shown on this website with the addition customers’ choice of flavor. A range of different solvent systems are also accommodated.

Instacoat™ EMB is a fully formulated high performance aqueous film coating system optimized as a moisture barrier. High solids capability combined with low viscosity and high substrate adhesion provide a system with excellent process performance that can be used in all types of coating equipment.

Instacoat™ EHAis a complete film coating system consisting of a dry blend of HPMC, plasticizer, pigments, opacifiers and other excipients. The system is optimized to give superior tablet adhesion and finish using water as the solvent system.

Instacoat™ P4 is an alginate-based film coating system. This provides avoids the use of cellulose-based materials to avoid incompatibility or provide IP advantages. It is a dry blend of polymer, plasticizer and approved colors. It gives a glossy finish to tablets at weight gain values of around 2.0 to 3.0%. The system being robust can be handled with a variety of coating machines and processes without stringent processing conditions.

Instacoat™ Herbo s a unique film coating system consisting of a dry blend of polymers, plasticizers, herbal pigments, opacifiers and other excipients. Its uniqueness lies in the selection of herbal colorants.

Instacoat™ Natcol is a unique film coating system consisting of a dry blend of polymers, plasticizers, pigments, opacifiers and other excipients. Its uniqueness lies in the selection of natural colorants. The system is optimized and validated to offer complete film coating solution and enhancing organoleptic appeal. This is ultimately translated into better patient compliance providing unique product identification.

Instacoat™ EN Super II is a fully formulated enteric coating system based on Methacrylic Acid Copolymer Type C. It is a patented product for aqueous reconstitution. It is recommended in the cases where phthalate esters such as CAP or HPMCP are not compatible or pose stability problems. Typically, a weight gain in the range 8 -12 % is sufficient to achieve reliable enteric protection.

Instacoat™ EEN is an optimized dry powder product for reconstitution in a hydro-alcoholic solvent system. It is based on methacrylic acid co-polymer type A &/or type B and provides enteric protection at minimum weight gain, typically between 6.5 and 8.0%.

Instacoat™ EN-HPMC-P is a fully formulated enteric coating system based on Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose Phthalate. It is presented as a dry powder for reconstitution in organic solvent prior to application.

Instacoat™ EN SOL is a fully formulated enteric coating system based on Cellulose Acetate Phthalate. It requires organic solvent for reconstitution and can be used on highly moisture sensitive cores. It provides a consistent and reproducible delayed release profile.

Instacoat™ EN Super IV is a fully formulated enteric coating system based on Methacrylic Acid and Ethyl Acrylate Co-polymer. It is recommended in the cases where phthalate esters such as CAP or HPMCP are not compatible or pose other problems. Typically, a weight gain of around 8% provides reproducible delayed release profiles. Three separate formulations are available which are suitable for either fully aqueous, hydro-alcoholic, or fully organic solvent seems.
