STOCKMASTER 12-12-12 Breeder Mineral is formulated to be fed at approximately 4.0 ounces per head per day. If STOCKMASTER 12-12-12 Breeder Mineral is offered free-choice, introduce it gradually over a 14 day period. Offer 3.0 to 4.0 ounces per head per day during this period to avoid over consumption.
Early lactation cows may desire more salt than that provided by STOCKMASTER 12-12-12 Breeder Mineral. Offer free-choice loose salt along with the mineral to cows in early lactation. STOCKMASTER 12-12-12 Breeder Mineral intakes will vary. Estimate mineral consumption rates on a monthly basis. If intakes are greater than 4.0 ounces per head per day, offer more salt either free-choice or mixed with the mineral. If intakes are less than 4.0 ounces per head per day, decrease the amount of salt offered.
Provide fresh, clean water at all times.
Note: Individual mineral, trace mineral and vitamin requirements of cattle depend on stage of production gestation or lactation), size and age of animal. Likewise, the mineral, trace mineral and vitamin content of forages depends on geographical location and stage of forage growth. Please consult your sales representative if you have questions about mineral supplementation.
