Fluorescent Brightener OB (FBA 184) is used for whitening and brightening PVC, polystyrene, polyethylene, polypropylene, thermoplastics, ABS, cellulose acetate, coatings, paints and printing inks, etc. It is hardly soluble in water, soluble in alkanes, mineral oil, common organic solvents, etc.

O-methylbenzoic acid is mainly used in the production of ER330% brightener, bensulfuron, o-toluonitrile, o-cyanobenzoic acid and 3.5-dinitro-O-toluamide, etc.

Sodium o-sulfonate benzaldehyde is used as a main intermediate for synthesis of fluorescent whitening agent CBS-X, triphenylmethane dye and mothproofing agent N.
