PetroGuard® D Oil Spill Absorbent PGD55 is a solidifying oil spill absorbent. It works instantly. PetroGuard-D is a highly effective oil spill absorbent suited for factory and refinery settings as well as oil spills on water. PetroGuard-D oil instantly absorbs and solidifies oil and other hydrocarbons through advanced molecular capture, creating a non-leaching, low volumetric barrier which ultimately immobilizes an oil spill on land or water. As an oil spill absorbent, its unique characteristic is that liquid petroleum products and other liquid hydrocarbons are converted to a solid matrix. Once absorbed PetroGuard-D will not leach even under pressure and will float indefinitely. The application of PetroGuard-D will dramatically reduce or eliminate the production of flammable vapors reducing the risk of fire or explosion.
