Technical Details & Test Data
- Mechanism of Action
A synergy of 3 families of molecules: vitamin C, flavonoids and AHA (malic and citric acids), acts to inhibit tyrosinase and to reduce pigmentation, to lighten by exfoliating and to stimulate skin regeneration.
- Scientific Process
- Pigmentation
Throughout life, various factors can cause skin hyperpigmentation and lead to the appearance of dark spots (aging, UV, hormones, etc.). Pigmentation is the result of melanin, eumelanin and pheomelanin synthesis (in melanosomes of the melanocyte). The key enzyme in this process is tyrosinase.
- RAYOLYS
Vitamin C inhibits tyrosinase, thus reducing pigmentation; it also traps free radical and promotes collagen synthesis. Flavonoids, with antioxidant properties, participate in skin restructuring. Malic and citric acids, thanks to their exfoliating action, reduce pigmentation by eliminating melanin-rich keratinocytes.
- Proven Efficacy - In Vitro Test
ANTI-TYROSINASE ACTION
- -90%, more effective than hydroquinone (at a concentration of 0.2%)
ANTI-FREE RADICAL ACTION
- Neutralization of 80% of superoxide ions (Xanthine Oxidase test)
ANTI-ELASTASE ACTIVITY
- Inhibition of 30%
