- Product Background
Coconuts are an incredibly versatile fruit. Virtually every part of the fruit and the tree can be used in many different types of applications. The fruit yields oil, milk and water, which are all consumed for nutritional benefits, but are also used in cosmetic products for skin benefit. The shell and the husk make a variety of materials that can be burned as fuel or woven into many diverse household items. On many tropical islands where the coconut palm is a main crop, the native language refers to the tree with names such as "tree of life" or "tree of a thousand uses."
- CoCo-Complete BCR' is a naturally derived, multifaceted cosmetic ingredient that combines five Components of coconut into an elegant fluid dispersion:
- Coconut Water and Coconut Fruit Juice— the liquids collected from young, unripe coconuts. They are rich in proteins, amino acids, electrolytes, sugars and vitamins, which is why coconut beverages have become popular among sports enthusiasts. Coconut water is effective in cell renewal activity, and is also rich in other bioactive compounds including kinetin and monolaurin, which is known for its antiviral, antibacterial and antiprotozoal activity
- Virgin Coconut Oil —an oil that melts at body temperature with a light, non-greasy feel. It is rich in essential fatty acids which nourish the skin and help to maintain a healthy lipid barrier
- Coconut Alkanes — a rich, non-greasy emollient that leaves a light, dry feel on the skin
- Coco-Caprylate/Caprate — a skin conditioning agent derived from coconut oil which has a light silky after-feel on the skin
Coco-Complete BCR is a unique, lightweight fluid which absorbs quickly leaving skin soft, hydrated, rejuvenated and protected. It is safe to use at 100%, and can be used to create silky, surfactant-free microemulsions. When used as an additive to formulations, it improves product esthetics, enhances product stability and boosts biocompatibility of active ingredients. It truly is a complete formulation solution.
