Technical Details & Test Data
- Curing
The versatility of GMS Composites EP-530 means a range of cure cycles, pressures and ramp up rates can be adopted all of which will depend greatly on the part being produced. Below is a guide to cure cycles.
Typical cure cycles.
- 8 – 10 hours at 90°C
- 6 – 8 hours at 100°C
- 4 – 6 hours at 110°C
- 2 – 4 hours at 120°C
- 1 hour at 120°C + 2 hours at 150°C
- 1 – 2 hours at 130°C
Heat ramp up rate – 2°C / min
Pressure – 1 bar- Gel Time
Hot plate
Temperature (°C) Time (min) 120 14-18 Values are indicative of small samples of neat resin formulation. Gel times may vary significantly in composites depending on fiber content and laminate thickness.
