Biosafe® HM4100 is a silicon-based antimicrobial that contains 3-(trihydroxysilyl)propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride, octadecyldimethyl(3-trihydroxysilylpropyl)ammonium chloride (at a concentration of 84% active condensed), and silsesquioxanes, 3-(dimethyloctadecylammonio)propyl, hydroxy-terminated, chlorides. It is approved by NSF 51 and has an EPA Registration Number of 83019-1. This non-leaching antimicrobial is specifically designed to impart bacteriostatic, fungistatic, and algistatic properties to coatings and resins used in the production of manufactured goods. Biosafe® HM4100 is commonly employed in resin blending, compounding, and coatings applications. The highlights of the product are as follows:
