Due to its good thermal and mechanical properties, this semi-crystalline material belongs to the polymer group of engineering plastics. It has a high surface hardness and good sliding and wear behavior. Since POM belongs to the group of short-chip materials, machining is significantly simplified when compared to similar plastic materials.

Due to its excellent thermal and mechanical properties, this semi-crystalline material belongs to the polymer group of high-performance plastics (HPM).

GEHR PPS

GEHR PEEK

Polycarbonate is a transparent material and belongs to the group of amorphous engineering plastics as well as to the polyester family of plastics. It has a high stiffness and extremely high impact strength. It also has a high glass transition temperature and heat deflection temperature (approx. +130 °C). The continuous operating temperature of PC ranges between approximately -60 °C and +120 °C. The material is highly resistant to high-energy radiation. However, it must be stabilized against UV rays, otherwise yellowing may occur. Like all polyesters, PC is not resistant to hot water (from approx. +60 °C) in the long term.

In addition to its high mechanical strength and rigidity, it certainly has an extraordinarily brilliant transparency. Its weather and UV resistance as well as its surface hardness are also very high

GEHR PMMA XT

Polybutylene terephthalate is a semi-crystalline material from the polyester family of plastics and, due to its good thermal and mechanical properties, is counted among the polymer group of engineering plastics. It has a high surface hardness and good sliding and wear behavior.

Polyetherimide has a high mechanical strength in connection with a good chemical and heat resistance (operating temperature up to +170 °C), good dimensional stability and creep resistance. lts unique torque strength permits the economical substitution of machined fabricated small parts from steel.

GEHR PEI

Due to its good thermal and mechanical properties, this semi-crystalline material belongs to the polymer group of engineering plastics. In addition to its high strength, hardness and toughness, it has a high heat deflection temperature of -40 °C to approx. +100 °C. However, the good damping capacity can only be achieved after conditioning, so this material should be re-conditioned after tempering. The material also has good sliding and dry-running properties. Due to the increased moisture absorption behavior in comparison to other polymer materials, possible dimensional changes as well as changes in the mechanical and electrical properties must be taken into account prior to material configuration.

We have expanded our extruded plastic semi-finished products portfolio. As of now we offer plastic filaments for professional 3D printing under the brand name FIL-A-GEHR®. The low-emission and low-odor filaments are produced from high-quality raw materials with close tolerances (+/- 0,05 mm) and allow therefore a precise and failure-free 3D printing. FIL-A-GEHR® filaments are compatible with all standard 3D printers and are delivered carefully spooled and packed in easy to use aluminum-laminated resealable zip bags.

FIL-A-GEHR® PEEK MG (MEDI) is a high performance filament based on the material PEEK and is suitable for medical and pharmaceutical applications in direct body contact with tissue, bone, skin and mucous membrane up to 24 hours. They have been tested and evaluated by independent, accredited test laboratories and meet the following biocompatibility requirements: – ISO 10993-1/5/12/18 and USP Class VI.

FIL-A-GEHR® PEEK MG (MEDI)

GEHR PMMA XT® (ACRYL) is amorphous material belongs to the polymer group of standard plastics, due to its thermal and mechanical properties. In addition to its high mechanical strength and rigidity, it certainly has an extraordinarily brilliant transparency. Its weather and UV resistance as well as its surface hardness are also very high. PMMA is also scratch-resistant and polishable. The continuous operating temperature ranges between -40 °C and +70 °C. The chemical resistance to most solvents, the resistance to stress cracking as well as the toughness is clearly subordinate compared to other materials from the group of standard polymers.

GEHR PMMA XT® (ACRYL)

GEHR PA® 6 C is a high-molecular and stress-reduced PA 6, which shows a very tough behavior and which was produced by casting. Our round rods and sheets in natural color comply with the food contact regulations according to 10/2011/EC.

GEHR PBT® is a semi-crystalline material from the polyester family of plastics and, due to its good thermal and mechanical properties, is counted among the polymer group of engineering plastics. It has a high surface hardness and good sliding and wear behavior.

GEHR PBT®

GEHR POM® ELS is a variant of POM-C with enhanced electrical conductivity. The conductivity is generated by a specially adjusted additive. Migration to the part surface, and thus strong fluctuation of the good conductivity, should therefore not occur. The surface resistance, measured on the semi-finished product, is ≤104 Ω.

GEHR PE-ELS® is a variant of PE-HS with improved electrical conductivity. By means of a special conductive carbon black, the volume resistance could be reduced to ≤104 Ω and the surface resistance to ≤105 Ω.

GEHR PE-ELS®

GEHR PPSU® is an amorphous material, with improved impact and hydrolysis resistance compared to PSU. This amber-colored, transparent material is usually used in a black color, which is why we only offer it in this color version so far. The usual operating temperature is approx. +170 °C. The extremely high notch impact strength remains also after a heat aging.

GEHR PA® 6 XT is a PA 6 which shows a very tough behavior and which was produced by extrusion. Our round rods and sheets in natural color comply with the food contact regulations according to 10/2011/EC.

GEHR PEEK® MOD (GLIDE) is reinforced with 10 % of each PTFE, graphite and carbonfibre. The very good friction, wear and tear properties makes this material the good choice for many applications with friction.
