- Storage and Handling Conditions
- Store Galaxy™ MW 252 (16)-MB in a clean, dry place at 30 - 40°C away from direct heat, sunlight and moisture.
- Keep the container tightly closed after use, as the product is hygroscopic. In original sealed condition, if stored as suggested, shelf life of the product is two years.
- Once HMHDPE carboy / IBC is opened, consume the product within a week.
- When taken in ISO container/ tanker, it is recommended that material be consumed within one month’s time, after unloading in storage tank.
- If the material is stored below 15°C, then it may become hazy or semi - solid. It is recommended to heat the jacketed ISO container/ jacketed tanker / insulated tanker with hot water of 70 - 80°C (4 - 8 hours) or low pressure steam (< 1 kg / cm⊃2 ) to bring the temperature of the product to 30 - 40°C.
- Avoid direct heating. If the product freezes in IBC / HMHDPE carboys then keep the same in hot room of 50°C for around 2 days.
- Heating time may vary. Once it is in molten stage, mix it properly to make it uniform before use.
- If material is not melted properly / not uniform, there is a possibility of improper sampling. Avoid part quantity use. It can also be stored in a clean and dry SS storage tank.
- During storage, HMHDPE carboys (palletized / non-palletized) / IBC should not be stacked one above the other.
