PERFILLER® 101

• Superior in disintegration

When added to 100M Lactose The below graph shows the hardness of tablets and disintegration time when adding 0-30% of PERFILLER®-101 to 100M Lactose and setting the compression force at 7.5, 10, 12.5kN. By adding PERFILLER®-101, the hardness is increased and the disintegration time was shortened by 1 minute, while over 9 minutes was needed without PERFILLER®-101.

• Excellence in compression formulation

PERFILLER®-101 is effective when it is added to powders (eg; ascorbic acid, mannitol) that are hard to form. 

• Better miscibility higher effectiveness as API dispersion media

Mixing example with acetaminophen

Stable uniformity dispersed powder can be obtained after 3 minutes mixing time under the below conditions by adding 1% of acetaminophen(AAP) and PERFILLER®-101.

Mixing machine : Kotobuki Mixwell V-10 type mixing machine(Tokuju Corporation) Volume, added amount : 22L, 4kg(AAP : PERFILLER®-101 or 200M Lactose = 1:99) Rotating speed : 36 rpm

• Improvement in fluidity

Example with dried cork tree bark extract Adding PERFILLER®-101 to low fluidity dried cork tree bark extract improves fluidity. This feature facilitates the formulation for powdered medicine and direct compression.

The fluidity index is the total index of the repose angle, degree of compassion, spatula angle, homogeneity degree or agglomeration degree. The greater the fluidity intex, the better the fluidity.
