- Surface Preparation
To ensure consistent bonding results, surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned prior to application of the binder/rubber. Protective oils, cutting oils, greases, etc. are removed by solvent degreasing. Scale or tightly adherent coatings are removed by suitable mechanical, sandblast or chemical cleaning methods.
- Application
PRIMER 1050 may be applied to the cleaned substrate to ensure ultimate adhesion to a wider variety of substrights. Thoroughly mix ISO 1040A and rubber at a ratio of approximately 1 part ISO 1040A to 5 parts rubber. Apply mixture generously and mat or stamp down to obtain desired density and surface finish. Allow at least 24 hrs prior to foot traffic.
