Synapol 6000 is a structural adhesive suitable for bonding finished timber, metals, masonry, and fiberglass. Synapol 6000 will take around 7 days to fully cure. At least 24 hours should be allowed before working on bonded products. This full cure time will be reduced if post curing of items is initiated. Synapol 6000 has very high impact resistance after repeated loading and is extremely suitable as wood glue. Wood should be prepared properly. NB: Glossy hardwood, long grain timber surfaces created from very fine planning can be difficult to bond to, due to the closed off impervious slippery surface of the timber face.
- Surface Preparation
All surfaces to be bonded must be clean and free of oil or detergent film. All surfaces must be dry. The most preferred surfaces have been sanded or have open porous faces to enhance mechanical structural cross-linking adhesion.
