Ferroflam® PS RPM 340B

Ferroflam® PS RPM 340B is a non -halogenated flame retardant based on red phosphorus, particularly suitable for polystyrene articles. It is offered as a free-flowing and dust-free master batch in pellets physical form which makes it very easy to handle, accurate to dose and safe to process, allowing high consistency in the quality of the final article. Ferroflam® PS RPM 340B is based on stabilized and micro-encapsulated red phosphorus powder grades and polystyrene as a carrier resin. It is easy to be homogenously dispersed in the polymer compound.

FERROFLAM PS RPM 340B is the master batch developed especially for HIPS, also suitable for ABS, intended to be used for the shell of domestic appliances or other parts.

Formulation

In HIPS, a recommended dosage of FERROFLAM PS RPM 340B should range from 8 to 10% (by wt), combined with other synergistic flame-proofing agents, such as metal hydroxides (Mg (OH) 2, Al (OH) s), organic phosphoric esters, melamine derivatives, etc.

Processing

FERROFLAM PS RPM 3408 is endowed with high thermal stability for HIPS, ABS. It is suitable temperatures rise up to 280"Cwithout degrading or releasing die build-up or carbonaceous residues in hot runners.
