Macrofoam is a specially engineered, high quality macrosphere syntactic foam designed to meet the requirements of a variety of subsea and oceanographic applications. MacroFoam products integrate fiber reinforced spheres into the standard syntactic structure, which produce a unique new set of properties. These properties allow for the attainment of lower densities in some applications as well as the fabrication of larger standard sizes and custom structures. Additionally, the inclusion of the fiber reinforced macrospheres into the syntactic system generally equates to lower cost buoyancy for a given depth. Due to the nature of the constituent materials, the density, strength and stiffness of MacroFoam may be tailored to meet the specific requirements of the end user’s application, providing greater flexibility for challenging designs.

FireShield – LFST is a low-density syntactic material specifically designed to meet the flame, smoke and toxicity requirements of the construction industry. Providing all the strength of traditional building materials at a fraction of the weight, Fireshield –LFST installs quickly and easily reducing labor and material costs. In addition to being ideally suited for applications where adherence to fire safety codes are mandatory, FireShield-LFST provides the additional benefit of radio frequency wave transparency, for improved communication.

BZ-24 is a premium syntactic foams safely operates in the oceans Bathypelagic Zone, at depths ranging from 1,000 down to 4,000 meters. These specially formulated composites utilize a variety of hollow glass spheres to attain the lowest density in the industry. Hydrostatic performance is assured with crush depths at a minimum of 1.5 times the operation depth. BZ Grade syntactic foams are available in block form and may be readily used for customer assembly or cut to fit application requirements. Blocks or trimmed parts may also be bonded together to form larger structures.

Produced from the most advanced resin and hollow glass microspheres available, this flame retardant material provides all the strength of traditional building materials at a fraction of the weight.

MZ-38 is a premium syntactic foams safely operate in the oceans Mesopelagic Zone, at depths ranging from the surface down to 1,000 meters. Fabricated with advanced microsphere technology, these homogenous materials offer both low density and lower cost considerations. MZ Grade syntactic foams are available in block form and may be readily used for customer assembly or cut to fit application requirements. Blocks or trimmed parts may also be bonded together to form larger structures.

AI-42 grade of syntactic has been formulated specifically to meet the require-ments outlined in NAVSEA Drawing number 5856846 REV B defining the re-quirements for rigid syntactic foam for acoustic isolation and pressure release applications.

HZ-43 Grade syntactics are formulated to survive crush pressures greater than 20,000 psi, for safe operation in the Hadal Zone. It is produced from the most advanced resin and hollow glass microspheres available, these homogeneous materials provide the industry’s lowest density for this extreme depth range.

SF 3,000 of syntactic material was designed as a cost-effective option for applications where the absolute lowest density is not critical. With a higher allowable density, SF can provide excellent long-term performance at depths where volume is not limited. The family of product may also be cast into finished configurations and geometries to improve material usage and reduce expensive yield losses due to machining.

Engineered Syntactic Systems SF 3,000

AI-24 of syntactic has been formulated to take advantage of the inherent insulative properties of the material due the cellular structure resulting in interesting acoustic properties. The high strength and stiffness means these properties do not change at depth allowing use in acoustic windows and transducer isolators and de-couplers.
