BIOTREND® BIT20-S

• BIOTREND BIT20-S penetrates the cells of microorganisms, reacts with vital parts of the cells and inactivates important substrates and enzymes necessary to normal cell function. These relatively unspecific reactions exhibit a bactericidal effect and minimize adaptation or the development of microbial resistance.
• BIOTREND BIT20-S prevents microbial deterioration of products and resulting consequences such as:
  • Phase separation
  • Odor build-up
  • Gas build-up
  • Changes in viscosity
  • Build-up of health threatening toxins

• BIOTREND BIT20-S is highly suitable for the preservation of a wide variety of aqueous based products due to its broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity and good thermal and chemical stability.
• It shows highest efficacy in a wide pH range of pH 4 – 10 and is chemically stable from pH 2 – 12 and also light stable. Experience shows that compatibility with most products and raw materials is excellent, although compatibility testing is recommended for special formulations.
• Under normal use patterns concentrations of 0.05 – 0.3% are sufficient in most applications.

Store in the original, tightly-closed containers, in well-ventilated, dry, dark and cool areas. Carefully reseal and keep containers upright. Protect from freezing. If frozen, allow to thaw and stir well before use.

When handling BIOTREND BIT20-S, avoid contact with the skin, eyes, and clothing. Wear goggles or a face shield, protective clothing, and waterproof gloves, as specified on the EPA product labels, when handling these products.
