INTENDED USES
- Recommended as primer for OEM, heavy equipment, l-beams, tanks, columns, plates and other structural members.
- May be top coated with industrial, fast dry enamels, lacquers epoxies and urethanes.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces that are to be coated must be clean, dry and free of surface contaminants. For best performance, blast clean to an SSPC-SP6 Commercial Blast Cleaning.
MIXING
Single component product, stir thoroughly before applying.
THINNING- Do not exceed regulatory limits
- Brush/Roll -Not normally required, recommended no more than 10% reduction with T8004 Xylene.
- Airless Spray-lf required 5-10% of T8004 Xylene (% pint per gallon)
- Conventional - Reduce up to 20% or as needed with T8004 Xylene.
APPLICATION
- Airless - recommended tip sizes (.012-.015)
- Air Assisted Airless - Kremlin Model 17:35 or larger, MX Gun
- Conventional - Binks Model 2001 or equivalent HVLP Binks Model Mach 1
- Brush/Roll -Small areas only
TOPCOATS
- Alkyds, Water Reducible Alkyds, Acrylics, Water Borne Acrylics and other conventional enamel topcoats.
(Two Component Top Coats)
- It may be used under some two component materials such as urethanes and epoxies. Primer must be thoroughly cured before applying any two component material. It is highly recommended that you apply a test spot to insure compatibility of the topcoat
