- Features of EcoSense™ GL-60 HL Surfactant
The following graphs feature the foaming and viscosity behavior of EcoSense™ GL-60 HL Surfactant under different conditions. Please note that performance may vary to some extent according to specific formulations.
Sophorolipids Foaming in Sulfate-free Shampoo : EcoSense™ GL-60 HL Surfactant delivers a low foaming performance versus synthetic surfactants, however, as co-surfactant, at 3% EcoSense™ GL-60 HL Surfactant does not compromise foaming/viscosity performance (Figure 1 and 2).
Figure 1: Foaming performance in non-sulfate containing system (active %): 9% Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, 3% Cocamidopropyl Betaine, 3% EcoSense™ GL-60 HL/HA Surfactants, 0.2% UCARE™ JR30M Polymer, 2.5% Carbopol SF-1.
Sulfate-free Shampoo Viscosity with Sophorolipids : Typical values, not to be construed as specifications. Users should confirm results by their own tests.Figure 2: Viscosity behavior in non-sulfate containing shampoo formulation (active %): 9% Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, 3% Cocamidopropyl Betaine, 3% EcoSense™ GL-60 HL/HA Surfactants (SL), 0.2% UCARE™ JR30M Polymer, 2.5% Carbopol SF-1.
Mildness Results-Zein Test : EcoSense™ GL-60 HL Surfactant is milder to the skin compared to SLES and Cocamidopropyl Betaine (CapB) and similar to Alkyl Polyglucosides. In-vitro mildness evaluation results such using a Zein test confirm the mildness of EcoSense™ GL-60 HL Surfactant.(Figure 3).Figure 3: In-Vitro Zein test results of surfactant at 3% and 6% active
