Features and Method of Effect of the Plant Protection Product
  • Emamectin benzoate is highly effective against Lepidoptera larvae feeding on leaves and blocks nerve impulses in the larvae.
  • In this case, the feeding of the larvae immediately stops and they become paralyzed.
  • Maximum larval mortality occurs within four days.

*It cannot be used in vineyard areas where vineyard leaves for consumption will be harvested.

Time to Apply the Plant Protection Product
  • In pepper, eggplant, cucumber and gherkin, it is necessary to fight with the pest by walking in the diagonal direction against the cotton leafworm, when 1-2 newly opened egg packs or 4-5 larvae are seen per 100 plants.
  • Since the result will be better when the application is done without the larvae dispersing, care should be taken in the application time.
  • In tomato, eggs and larvae are searched in the flower, leaves, stem, fruit and shoots of the plant by entering the field in the diagonal direction against the greenworm and controlling 50-100 plants according to the size of the field.
  • If 5 out of 100 plants are found to be contaminated, the application is made.
  • The application times against the cluster moth in the vineyard are determined according to the prediction-warning system.
  • For larvicide application, the number of butterflies caught in the traps should reach its peak and start to decrease, the effective temperature total should be 120 degrees in the first generation, the twilight temperatures should be 15°C and above for 2 consecutive days, and this situation should continue in the following days.
  • The total effective temperature should reach 520 days-degrees in the 2nd generation, 1047 days-degrees in the 3rd generation, the vine phenology should be in the flower bud in the 1st generation, the grove in the 2nd generation, and in the beginning of sweetening in the 3rd generation.
  • When the first larval emergence is seen, the application is decided.
  • An application is made for each generation.
  • Against vineyard thrips in the vineyard, the application should be made when the buds start to awaken in the spring and the population density of the pest is determined as at least 2-3 thrips adults or larva/leaflet when the first leaves are seen.
  • Care should be taken to apply the entire green part of the vine. One application is enough.
  • Against cotton leafworm in cotton, leaves, combs, flowers and bolls of a total of 25 plants, one plant in 10-15 steps, are checked.
  • Application is decided when 0.5 larvae per plant or 2 egg packs per 25 plants or 2 newly opened egg packs are seen.
  • In cotton, all randomly selected plants with 3 m row length are checked against greenworm, and greenworm eggs and larvae are counted and when there are 2 larvae with an average of 3 m row length, the application is decided. When there are 5-6 larvae in a three-meter-long row against cotton leafworm and greenworm in cloves, the struggle should be started.
  • To get good results from the application, 1-3. should be done against the larvae. Sufficient results are not expected from the application against advanced larvae. Applications against apple worms in apples should be guided by the prediction and early warning system.
  • The goal in the control of apple locusts is to kill the hatched larvae before they enter the fruit by keeping the trees with pesticides during the larva emergence of each generation.
  • The application is started after the first and second instar larvae are in the majority and the population is formed against the olive sapling in olives.
  • Against the pomegranate carob moth, 2-3 applications are made at 14-day intervals, depending on the effect period of the plant protection product, if the fruits are about 3-5 cm in diameter and the infestation rate is above 5%.
Resistance Management
  • The plant protection product named Bekchi 5 SG is an Insecticide classified as Group 6 according to its mechanism of action.
  • Repeated applications of plant protection products with the same mechanism of action encourage the development of resistance.
  • Therefore, in order to delay the development of resistance, do not exceed the recommended total number of applications of Bekchi 5 SG in the same production season.
  • In cases where the application needs to be repeated, pay attention to the use of plant protection products with different mechanisms of action (except for Group 6).
Compatibility

It is recommended to make premix trials before mixing large quantities for application.
