"Working since 1949 in the transformation of textile flax, the Depestele Group , a fully integrated international group, manages the entire textile sector from the cultivation of flax to the production of finished fabrics.

The leading private flax producer in Europe, the group works on around 8,000 hectares in flax cultivation in the departments of Seine-Maritime, Eure and Calvados. The company works with more than 600 farmers.


Its two main activities are the cultivation and scutching of flax. The group has 4 scutching lines, allowing the recovery of all the straw by obtaining various products: tow (long fiber), tow (short fiber), shives (wood part of the stem) and seeds.

The Depestele Group is present in the entire textile sector from agricultural production to weaving. It offers a high-end fiber for the clothing and household linen market.


To diversify its production, the Depestele Group is also developing fibers that can be used directly by manufacturers in the composite sector for structural applications.


The company has the ""Masters of Linen"" label which indicates that the flax has been cultivated and processed within the European Union, in compliance with the environmental and social standards in force."

LINCORE® flax fabrics are semi-finished products range containing long flax fibers devoted to the composite materials market, declined into bobbins of calibrated ribbons or technical fabrics with several fibrous architectures (twill, plain, unidirectional, multidirectional). These products are composed of 100 % flax or commingled with thermoplastic fibers (PLA, PP, PA...) to produce composite parts that can be shaped using a thermoforming process. Being 100 % natural, LINCORE® flax fabrics are recyclabe, biodegradable and/or compostable, and contribute to structures lightening thank to their low density. Furthermore, the discontinuons nature of long flax fibers makes our technical fabrics adapted to sharp edges and singularities of complex shapes. This excellent formability is perfect for processes such as stamping and thermoforming. Commingled technical fabrics can be rapidly shaped with a short heating and cooling cycle under a press in order to achieve any type of composite material part. 100% long flax fibers technical fabrics can be shaped by the conventional methods that are generally used by the composite industry (RTM, infusion, lay up).

LINCORE® FF P1 400 is a 100% flax fabric made of untwisted rovings. The molding can be realized by Infusion, Resin Transfer Molding, Resin Film Infusion Lay up. These fabrics are also availble as resin-impregnated reinforcements for high strength, toughness ans structural performance at low weight.

LINCORE® PLA FF P2 40 400 is a fabric made of LINCORE® roving (commingled flax and PLA filaments). Consolidation is done by heating above melting temperature of PLA matric (170°C-200°C) and applying a low pressure (1-30 bars), before a cooling step under pressure.The molding can be realized by diaphragm (1 to 8 bars)- Thermo compression (10 to 200 bars) - Sandwich thermo compression (1 to 5 bars).
