It is a fast-drying polymethacrylate that permits the manufacture of very quick-drying 2-component coating systems. SYNTHALAT A 597 is a thermoplastic acrylic resin. It gives good results as the sole binder for the manufacture of primers for problem substrates such as zinc. Unlike other physically dying binders, it does not require the addition of any plasticizers. SYNTHALAT F 477 is an air-drying medium-oil alkyd resin. It is used for fast-drying industrial paints with good gloss retention, like in machine and vehicle coatings. Without the addition of cobalt, it is suitable for radiator paints with a low yellowing tendency. Additional characteristics include fast drying and excellent adherence to various metals and subrates. Around 470 g/l of VOC as a top coat at 21 seconds.
