EMULTROL CM-2555

EMULTROL CM-2555 is an aqueous emulsion based on mineral wax. It is an optimal modification additive for the production of aqueous coatings. EMULTROL CM-2555 creates hydrophobic characteristics in the coatings and films. Because of its chemical structure, coatings which contain EMULTROL CM-2555 can be good painted, printed and they are good adhesible at the later films. EMULTROL CM-2555 is also very suitable for the modification of aqueous binding agents at the paper and carton production. At the direct use of EMULTROL CM-2555 on already applied surfaces, a high gloss level, low lubricate and high blocking resistance are achieved on the surface. The water repellence at paper and cartons is considerably improved. EMULTROL CM-2555 has a food law approval and is therefore also suitable for the usage in the food area. EMULTROL CM2555 meets the food regulations according to FDA 176.180.

EMULTROL CM-2555 is added to aqueous dispersion and binding agent systems. The dosage depends on the application area in the aqueous systems and is normally 0,5-3 %. EMULTROL CM-2555 can be applied immediately at the paper production process or at the production of cardboards. Best after the drying process took place. Due to the optimal particle seize of the emulsion, very good wetting and good impregnation are created in the surfaces. EMULTROL CM-2555 can also be used for the treatment of already printed paper and cardboard surfaces. Thereby wear resistance as well as water resistance are achieved on the surfaces This wax emulsion is also very suitable for wood impregnations, wood coating material etc., which can penetrate deep in the material and shall conversely prevent a penetration by water after the coating.

Compatibility

EMULTROL CM-2555 is good compatible with the most aqueous binding agent and dispersion systems. In order to achieve perfect compatibility, the pH-value has to be balanced. The compatibility with other additives and filler materials is well given.

This product needs no labeling according to the current regulations for dangerous goods and to the EG guide lines.

Precautions

Do not store outdoors. Aqueous product. Protect from frost to avoid irreversible damages. Keep in sealed containers at temperatures between 15°C and 35°C. Before the opening of the containers, stir them well. At a longer storage time a slight separation may occur. The usual precautions for chemicals should be taken for its handling and its transport.
