There’s something special about an etching. The natural indentation made in soft paper by the printing plate and the detail achievable by fine lines give a unique result that can be ‘delicious to the eye’.  Of course, using the right ink can enhance the very finest etchings.

1. Mix the three process colors in varying proportions to create a spectrum of bright color mixes of your own. You will find you can make a much wider range of
greens, purples, blues, reds and oranges than you can achieve with a standard blue, red and yellow ink. Use white and black and extender to make an even wider
range of tints and shades.
2. Over printing layers of these inks to create new colors where the transparent colored layers overlap.
3. For printmakers who need a four color process set (CMYK) to create prints with multiple plates.
