- Characteristics
A one-part self-crossl inking emulsion which is best suited for cold press gluing of wood material where water resistance is required. It meets ANSI/HPVA HP-1-2000 Type 1 and ASTM D-4317 Type 1 wet use. It provides a rigid glue line that is not brittle and inflexible.
Applications & Uses
- Markets
- Compatible Substrates & Surfaces
- Directions
- All wood substrates should be conditioned at room temperature to a 6-8% moisture content.
- A spread of 35-50#/MSGL is adequate.
- Stock should be uniform in thickness.
- Assembly time can vary greatly, dependent on porosity of the substrates, ambient temperature and quantity applied, but 5-10 minutes is the generally accepted assembly time .
- Direct contact of the gluing surfaces is essential, and recommended pressure to obtain this on hardwoods is 175-200 psi.
- Press time is dependent on the species, moisture content, and ambient conditions, but typically will range from 30-60 minutes.
