- Advantages
Surfitex™ gives FRP components a resin-rich surface that enhances weathering and corrosion resistence and reduces UV degradation. It also provides a smooth, crack and craze-resistant finish, minimizing reinforcement print-through.
Surfitex™ are hydro-entangled polyester surface veils for FRP, with advantages over standard C or ECR glass veils/tissues.
These advantages include:
• Improved corrosion resistance
• Improved UV andweathering resistance
• Binder-free (hydro-entangled – no risk of chemical contamination of the resin)
• Compatible with all resin types
• Easy resin wet-out and infusion
• Retains tensile strength when wet
• Improved aestheticsand smoother surface for pultrusions
• Cost-effective solution
