CLiQSPERSE® 172

CLiQSPERSE® 172 is a highly efficient poly carboxylate based dispersing agent for aqueous systems. The low viscous sodium neutralized polymer is odorless and VOC-free which is of particular importance for modern decorative paint systems. CLiQSPERSE® 172 Is highly recommended for aqueous decorative latex paints, pigment concentrates and slurries based on inorganic pigments or extenders. It provides a low viscous mill-base or pigment concentrate viscosity with excellent storage stability. CLiQSPERSE® 172 does not promote foaming in the final system and is stable against hydrolysis It is compatible with almost all inorganic pigments or extenders and most decorative industrial aqueous systems. In latex paints it can be combined with CLiQSPERSE® 172 to optimize paint stability, gloss development and compatibility with pigment concentrates.

CLiQSPERSE 172 is best dissolved in water prior to pigmentor extenderaddition. The optimum loading level should be determined for each system using a loading ladder study(pigment demand curve). Aloading between 0.05-2.0 % based on total is typically required to achieve the desired systems stability and viscosity.
