Clarkson Grain Company, Inc. is an Illinois-based grain, oilseed, and ingredient supplier to the food manufacturing and animal feed industries. We specialize in the growing, storage, and processing of Identity-Preserved, Non-GMO, and organic corn, soybeans, and soy ingredients. We procure our specialty corn and soybean raw materials from our grower-partners throughout the United States.
As licensed grain dealers and warehousemen, we offer several unique and exclusive corn hybrids including our Indigo Blue corn and a full selection of white corn and yellow corn. We also offer several unique and exclusive soybean varieties – high-yielding varieties that work well for beverages and foods.
Clarkson owns and operates its own commercial storage, cleaning, and handling facilities as well as an organic soy processing facility, barge station, and rail sidings located in central Illinois. We utilize farm storage to segregate, store, dry, and stage deliveries, as well as certified commercial facilities. To gently move crops from farm to buyer, we also incorporate unusually low fall handling systems to ensure product quality.

Clarkson Specialty Lecithins Soybeans has varieties that express unique characteristics, providing added benefits to our food processing customers. Some are clear hilum beans. Some are bred to minimize the typical “beany” soy taste. As a result, they have minimal flavor impact in processed products like soy flour. The varieties used for roasting are bred to provide a nutlike crunchiness as well as a light golden color and pleasing flavor after roasting.

Clarkson Specialty Lecithins CS5000 Product Code CS50 is a Non-Solvent extracted liquid Certified Organic Soy Lecithin with a maximum aerobic plate count of 5,000 CFU/g for use in a wide range of applications in food and industrial products. A standardized fluid lecithin available in 10, 50, 450, or 2,250 lb. pack sizes.

A standardized fluid lecithin available in 10, 50, 450, and 2,250 lb. pack sizes.

Clarkson Specialty Lecithins Waxy Dent Corn deliver the functional benefits of nearly 100% amylopectin or waxy starch. Waxy dent corn works especially well as a thickener or stabilizer in pies, soups, baby food and other processed foods, as well as in industrial materials such as paper adhesives. By way of comparison, regular dent corn contains 75% amylopectin and 25% amylose. Amylopectin is a branched form of starch. Amylose is an unbranched or linear form. Test weights and protein levels generally exceed those of yellow dent corns with similar maturity.

Clarkson Specialty Lecithins Yellow Corn offers a range of yellow corn hybrids, each of which conveys a unique color, taste, endosperm hardness, water absorption rates and other process features. We work with you to select the yellow corn hybrid best for your product and processing requirements. Since hybrid choice determines perhaps 70% of cooking characteristics, we avoid blending and supply our customers from a single variety, traceable to the farms where it was grown.
