  • NorthShore CA1801 is a widely used diesel additive to improve diesel fuel cetane number.
  • NorthShore CA1801 helps to reduce or eliminate black smoke, the cold-start problem of diesel engines. It also helps to reduce the PM and HC emissions.
  • NorthShore CA1801 can be added at refinery either concentrated or as a stock solution using a pump or eduction system.
     
Recommended Treat Rate

At a treat rate of 0.1%, NorthShore CA1801 can boost cetane number up to 8-10 points. The normal treat rate varies between 100 ppm to 2000 ppm according to the required performance and base fuel properties.

Performance Data

Northshore CA1801 shows excellent permance in diesel and fuel oil. The graph shows typical response of CA1801 to commercial diesel. Due to the nature and chemical mechanism of free radicals creation, the responsiveness of diesel to cetane number improver depends on the original cetane number of the base stock.
