Catalina Chemical Top Kote Floor Finish

TOP KOTE is a self-polishing floor finish designed to give tile floors a durable high gloss finish. TOP KOTE dries to a crystal clear, scuff and heel mark resistant, protective coating. TOP KOTE will prolong the life of a sealed tile floor, acting as a sacrificial protective layer for the tile. The floor finish can be reapplied as needed to refresh the appearance of the floor, and can easily be removed with MOP OFF.

Surface Preparation

Always be sure surface is clean, dry, and free from any dirt, grease, oil, wax, or other contaminant. Read the entire label before using. Use only as directed. Always test on a small piece of material or a small inconspicuous area to determine suitability. Ideal surface temperature should be between 60°F and 80°F.

Applications
  • Clean tiles with Catalina Chemical’s Neutral Cleaner. Rinse surface with clean water. Let surface dry. Pour ample amount of TOP KOTE into a clean pail or bucket. Soak a clean, lint free cotton or rayon mop with the finish. Squeeze the ends of the mop to eliminate excessive dripping.
  • Spread TOP KOTE to the surface evenly, smoothly, and uniformly, overlapping each stroke. Let the weight of the mop apply the finish. Reload the mop with finish as needed. Do not leave puddles or voids.
  • Work systematically and in small areas at a time. A second or third coat of TOP KOTE may be applied, depending on the amount of gloss desired. ALLOW 30 minutes to an hour drying time between coats.
Coverage

500+ square feet per gallon. Allow 30 mins to 1 hour between coats to ensure the previous one is completely dry.
