BRB 523 can be used in an extense group of personal care formulas such as hair products, skin care, shaving products, decorative cosmetics and sunscreens.

Essentially low order of acute toxicity, acts as surface tension depressant, wetting agent, and emulsifier in a wide variety of cosmetic and personal care products. Including hair sprays, skin care lotions, perfumes and shaving soaps. Stability of water solutions containing up to 5% BRB 523 are excellent. Acid or alkaline extremes reduce stability. BRB 523 can be used as resin plasticizer in hair styling products and also as a Humectant, emollient in skin products.

BRB 523 can be used in many cosmetic formulations as an emulsifier. Within Antiperspirant or Deodorant it will increase the glide properties and lubrication. Tackiness and White residues will be reduced. The use of BRB 523 in hair care applications will give color protection, detackification and a soft feel. BRB 523 can also be used in skin care applications where it will improve the spreading and a smooth feel.
