CompactCel® MAB

• Moisture absorbent additives are often needed in situations where hygroscopic active ingredients are processed. These kinds of materials or APIs absorb humidity from the ambient air, which makes the blend sticky. Clumping within the powder mass can be the result. For a compaction process it will lead to an inhomogeneity and fluctuations of the tablet hardness. Similar challenges can be faced in the capsule filling process.
• One approach to improve the compaction process and prevent clumping in the tablet mass can be a reduction of the relative humidity in the production area. This is not always possible and very complex. Adding CompactCel® MAB to the tableting mass before the compaction process will loosen up the whole powder compound and prevent it from getting sticky.
• When oily substances are involved a good approach is the incorporation of these oily substances into the CompactCel® MAB to achieve a powder blend. Especially ingredients such as natural high-sources of vitamins, probiotics, omega 3-6-9 fatty acids, antioxidants, amino acids and CBD oils need to be converted into a powder to incorporate them into solid dose products. CompactCel® MAB enables a high absorbing capacity of oily substances in powder with dry and free flowing properties. If the oil powder is then filled into hard gelatin capsules or pressed into tablets, precision dosing of exact amounts of ingredients or nutrients can be achieved.

CompactCel® MAB formulations are developed to meet the official regulatory requirements of the user’s country for pharmaceutical products and for nutritional or dietary supplements. The ingredient premix can be formulated naturally or fully organic for a clean label declaration.
