Bio-Green Planet® Wastewater Treat Petroleum

Wastewater Treat - Petroleum (PT) is a granular product consisting of naturally occurring; scientifically selected (but not genetically manipulated) microbes formulated to bioremediate all factions of crude or modified petroleum products and paraffin wax. PT is a blend of aerobic and facultatively anaerobic microbial cultures that are effective across a wide spectrum of substrates and continue enzyme production until almost all oil contaminants and other organic wastes are consumed. In addition to specific enzymes, several cultures create their own biosurfactant to aid in emulsifying oils and fats. PT is non-toxic, non-caustic, non-acidic, non-pathogenic (harmless to humans, pets & wildlife) and is biodegradable.

Application

PT is commonly used for soil remediation and to treat wastewater with high levels of petroleum hydrocarbons. It is also commonly used in wash water recycle systems, oil/water separators and parts washers. Substances that PT degrades and consumes include:

  • Easier to treat - Fats, oils and greases (FOGs), hydrocarbons with shorter chain lengths including benzene, gasoline, diesel; PAH's and other hydrocarbons including paraffin, phenanthrene, fluorene and napthalene; straight chain alkanes (C10 - C24), branched chain alkanes such as cyclohexane and Monoaromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene, phenol and toluene.
  • Treatable - bunker A, dibenzothiophene, naphthothiophene, benzothiophene, pyrene, anthracene, fuel oils with less than 30 chains
  • Treatable, but longer treatment duration (recommend experiments in lab first) - bunker C, crude oil, machine oil, lubricant oils and hydrocarbons with more than 30 chains
  • Not able to treat - tar, pitch, bitumen, asphalt and coal
