Citric Acid can be used as:
- Acidifying agent for water.
- To maintain clear water lines.
- To remove scale and sludge.
- To increase solubility of certain water soluble powders.
- Directions For Use
Water Line Cleaning (maintenance) - Add 500 g of powder to 1200 L of water.
For automatic proportioner: Set the apparatus to distribute 30 mL per 4 L of drinking water (1 oz/gallon U.S.). Prepare stock solution by dissolving 500 g of powder in 9 L of water.
Cleaning Lines - Add 750 g of powder to 610 L of water.
For automatic proportioner: Set the apparatus to distribute 30 mL per 4 L of drinking water (1 oz/gallon U.S.). Prepare stock solution by dissolving 750 g of powder in 4.5 L of water.
Solubility Aid - To increase the solubility of Oxytetracycline and Tetracycline products for water medication: Use 5 parts of Citric Acid powder added to 1 part of Oxytetracycline or Tetracycline powder to be dissolved. For example, 500 g of Citric Acid for each 100 g of Tetracycline HCI to be dissolved in the drinking water.

Corrosive in concentrated aqueous solution. Eye, skin and respiratory irritant.
PRECAUTION
Wear dust mask, safety glasses and gloves.
FIRST AID
Eye contact: Flush eyes with water and get medical aid.
Skin contact: Flush contaminated skin with water.
Inhalation: Remove person to fresh air.
