BCF Life Sciences L-Tyrosine is use as an animal foodstuff additive (regulations). L-Tyrosine food supplements are valuable in cases of acknowledged high requirements, such as the melanisation of skin appendages (coat, plumage, etc.). L-Tyrosine is the precursor of melanin and it has been shown that deficiencies result in the reddening of the coats of black-haired dogs and cats. The amounts required are proportional to the quantity of melanin deposit to be synthesized. An animal’s L-Tyrosine requirement is greater, the longer and denser its coat is and the higher its surface area is proportional to its food consumption.

BCF Life Sciences Mix Acides Aminés is a very highly digestible source of amino acids with a very low molecular weight. Mix acides aminés has a highly specific amino acid profile, with an amino acid availability measured in vivo of 96.8%. This is because, with its 95% free amino acid level, it is absorbed into the body extremely quickly (1 to 2 hours). Highly soluble and extremely reactive, when used in aqueous media, the amino acid mix is able to bring about aromatic reactions that favor its consumption by animals. The low molecular weight of under 800 Daltons guarantees that there is no risk of developing allergies. It is used in the formulation of finished products and supplements and can contribute to the effect of the active ingredients. It is supplied as a free-flowing powder (d50 = 150 µm) that is administered in the food itself or sprinkled on top.
