Bardac® is a range of antimicrobials with quaternary ammonium compound active ingredients such as Didecyldimethylammonium chloride (DDAC) and/or Didecyl dimethyl ammonium chloride. They are suitable for use in Industrial and Institutional settings such as food processing, Food service, Institutional kitchens, veterinary and healthcare.


Bardac

1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one or BIT (CAS: 2634-33-5), the primary active ingredient in Arxada's Proxel® range, is widely recognized as one of the most versatile, compatible and trusted broad spectrum preservative solutions available for the Home Care market. Aside from single-active products based on BIT alone, the Proxel® range also encompasses cost-effective and specialist blends with carefully-identified co-actives providing flexibility of choice for difficult-to-preserve systems. Proxel® GXL and Proxel® AQ have been pre-approved by the EPA for use in Safer Choice labeled products and have been reviewed by NSF International’s Sustainability Program. For consumers the Safer Choice logo provides recognition that the product has been evaluated for its effect on the environment and human health. Proxel

Barquat® Antimicrobials contain the active substance Alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride (ADBAC). The active is a cationic molecule offering good surfactant properties and can be formulated together with non-ionic and/or amphoteric surfactants. ADBAC has a broad antimicrobial efficacy against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and enveloped viruses. ADBAC maintains its efficacy across a broad pH-range. Single-active ADBAC products are available at different active concentrations, C-chain distributions and solvent combinations.

Originally the NUGEN® brand was developed for differentiating Arxada's latest hard surface disinfectant formulation from older and more traditional formulations. Included are novel fast kill, hydrogen peroxide, and no-rinse disinfectant liquid and wipe formulations.

With the transition from the Lonzagard brand, the NUGEN® brand now includes all of Arxada's EPA registered formulated solutions and the entire portfolio of registered surface disinfection formulations.

Geogard Ultra® is a patented natural broad spectrum preservative, consisting of a synergistic blend of Gluconolactone (CAS: 90-80-2) and Sodium Benzoate (CAS: 532-32-1). The synergy between these two ingredients makes this preservative unique, allowing for its broad spectrum efficacy. Geogard Ultra® benefits from a wide range of global regulatory acceptance, is easy to formulate and is ECOCERT/COSMOS accepted, NATRUE and Soil Association approved.Often organic acids require a co-preservative or an additional booster to provide an optimal performance, as they are too weak on their own. In this blend, the Gluconolactone (polyhydroxy acid or PHA) works in conjunction with the sodium benzoate to perform as an efficient preservative booster. The gluconolactone works by slowly releasing gluconic acid over time, which helps contribute to the preservation effect.

Geogard Ultra

Vantocil® IB and Vantocil® TG are aqueous solutions of the powerful antibacterial preservative poly(hexamethylene biguanide) hydrochloride [PHMB], an active offering broad pH tolerance, low foam and good heat stability. Applications are varied, and include surface care, fabric care and automotive care.

Barquat® MB-80 Antimicrobial contains the active substance C12-C16 Alkyl dimethyl
benzyl ammonium chloride (ADBAC). The active is a cationic molecule offering good surfactant properties and can be formulated together with non-ionic and/or amphoteric surfactants. This “first” generation quaternary ammonium compound has antimicrobial efficacy against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and enveloped viruses.

Barquat® MB-80

Geogard® 111A offer reliable anti-fungal efficacy at relatively low product use levels. Geogard® 111A is based on dehydroacetic acid (DHA); These preservatives have a wide range of global regulatory acceptance for many personal care and cosmetic applications. Test data of Geogard® 111A to parabens show higher efficacy and substantially better performance in low to neutral pH formulations.

Cosmocil® CQ is a broad spectrum, fast-acting antibacterial. A 20% aqueous solution of poly(hexamethylenebiguanide) hydrochloride, also known as PHMB, Cosmocil® CQ is an effective preservative for personal care formulations, active against a wide range of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Glydant Plus® Liquid is a synergistic preservation system that combines two well-known and traditional chemistries for personal care. The combination of DMDM Hydantoin and Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate allow for a dual mode of action, offering broad spectrum efficacy. These chemistries been used in personal care for years. This product contains the same amount of active ingredient as Lonza’s Glydant Plus® but is offered as a liquid form.
