This stilbene brightener can be effectively applied in the stock, at the size press, or in coatings.   • Leucophor® UO liquid is a neutral-shade tetrasulphonated stilbene brightener which may be applied in the stock, at the size-press or in a coating. Leucophor® UO liquid offers good substantivity to bleached pulps and very good compatibility with commercial size-press starches.
  • Leucophor® UO liquid is urea-free and therefore will not increase the nitrogen content of backwaters and effluent.
  • Leucophor® UO liquid is readily dilutable with water in any proportion and exhibits good stability to acids and alkalis. It may be used continuously or batchwise as required.

  • Leucophor UKO liquid has compliance for use in certain food-contact paper and board production under FDA 176.170/FDA 176.180. Leucophor UKO liquid has compliance also for use in food-contact paper and board under BfR recommendation XXXVI, provided that no bleeding occurs under the EN 648 test.
  • Both FDA and BfR impose maximum addition levels, depending both on the food type and, in the case of FDA, method of application. For more information, please contact your local Archroma representative.
  • When required, Leucophor UKO liquid can be quenched with Cartarex 2L liquid or Cartarex NT liquid.
