- Uses
GRIPWOOD is used to bond:
- Wood of all types (solid wood, parquet, planks, plywood, laminated floorings, multiple-ply engineered, etc). It will bond to concrete, terrazzo, exterior grade plywood, particle or chipboard, cement-based leveling compounds(ISOFLO), and radiant heated sub floors.
- Polystyrene and polyurethane insulation boards.
- Directions For Use
- Surface preparation - wood: must be clean and free from dirts, sealers, coatings, residual adhesives, etc. Surface must be plane and level. Lightlyabrade with emery paper. Finally, clean substrate with a cotton cloth moistened with clean water. Concrete / mineral substrates: must be clean and free from dirt, sealers, oil, laitance, curing compounds, etc.
- Application - apply the adhesive using a palette knife or paint brush. Avoid excessive adhesive thickness. When bonding wood towood, it is advisable to apply the adhesive on both surfaces at a thickness of 100 microns. Press and or clamp thetwo surfaces for at least four (4) hours.
- Cleaning - during installation, remove any excess adhesive from the surface with a cloth dampened with isokleen. Clean toolswith isokleen before adhesive cures.
- Coverage
Approximately cover 31 to 47 square meters at 150 and 100 micronsrespectively.
