Our extensive flush color and presscake product lines are designed to provide superior performance in all lithographic and water flexographic ink systems. We consistently provide customer focused pigment research, product development and quality assurance procedures in our continuous effort to provide the best products available in the market.
Apollo Colors was founded by Warren J. Norton, Bob Armor, and Jerry Stajura in 1969 and commenced producing organic pigments in a flushed form in January, 1970. In July of 1975, production was moved to the 41,000 square foot facility on 11.2 acres in Rockdale, IL. Since that date, Apollo Colors has expanded its manufacturing facilities to 200,000 square feet under one roof with over 175 employees. Apollo’s property has grown to approximately 18 acres. Administration and sales are located in a modern office building near our manufacturing plant in Rockdale."

Aries

Apollo’s ultra quickset, stay open, sheetfed flush color line is formulatedwith our proprietary high-performance varnish system. These flushcolors are designed to give ink makers high gloss, good rub and fast settinginks. Yet, inks formulated with Gemini Series flushes will stay open on thepress for longer periods than inks made with conventional quickset flushes.

Aquarius

The high solid azo pigment press cake offer enhanced performance developed specifically for the water flexographic ink and dispersions market. Our unique manufacturing processes result in consistent high pigment solids press cake without the additional processing steps that can lead to product degradationand performance deficiencies.

Gemini® Red Lake C is designed to give ink makers high gloss, good rub and fast settinginks. Yet, inks formulated with Gemini Series flushes will stay open on thepress for longer periods than inks made with conventional quickset flushes.
